Common Ridom platform terms for visitors, customers and participating rental stores.
1. Operator
Ridom is operated by Rental Now Ε.Ε., Greek tax number 802596568, business registry (GEMI) 179279406000. Contact address: Olympiados 125, Thessaloniki 546 34, Greece. Email: info@rentalnow.gr.
These terms explain platform use, online bookings and the relationship with the rental store.
2. Platform and rental store
Ridom provides search and online booking services. The vehicle rental contract is between the customer and the store identified in the booking. The store supplies the vehicle and is responsible for handover, its condition and performance of the rental.
Rental Now Ε.Ε. may also list its own vehicles as a rental store. Its role as the rental provider is then identified separately in the booking. Ridom remains responsible for its own services and legal obligations.
3. Common and additional terms
These common terms apply across participating stores. Stores may add vehicle-specific conditions, including licence and age requirements, security deposits, insurance, mileage, fuel and permitted use.
Before payment, customers receive and separately accept the Ridom terms and the relevant store/vehicle terms. Additional terms supplement the common policy and cannot remove mandatory consumer rights. Undisclosed additional terms cannot unilaterally change an already confirmed booking.
4. Account or guest booking
A customer account is optional. Customers must provide accurate contact details and meet the selected vehicle’s requirements. The store checks age, driving entitlement and any additional requirements.
The intended customer login methods are verified email with password, including password reset, or Google. Google may resolve to the same account only after secure verification of the email address. Independent login requires activation on the production environment.
A partner account cannot be used as a customer account. Partners can book as guests or use a separate customer account with another email address.
5. Price, advance payment and balance
Dates, times, pickup store, extras, known charges, total, advance payment and store balance are shown before payment. Display-currency conversions are indicative; the charge currency is stated before payment.
Ridom collects an advance payment equal to its commission. This is included in the booking total, not an additional charge. At the current 10% commission, a €100 booking means €10 paid to Ridom and €90 to the store.
The vehicle security deposit is separate from the booking advance. It is provided to the store under the methods and conditions disclosed for that vehicle. Any additional lawful rental charges must be substantiated by the store.
6. Booking confirmation
A temporary vehicle hold has a limited duration. Clicking the payment button or returning from the payment provider does not by itself confirm a booking. Confirmation follows server verification of successful payment and issuance of the booking confirmation.
Check the confirmation details and report errors promptly. If a payment needs investigation, check the previous transaction before attempting another payment.
7. Cancellation and advance refunds
When the customer cancels, the advance collected by Ridom is non-refundable, subject to mandatory rights under applicable law or a more favourable specific agreement disclosed and accepted before booking.
If the store cancels or does not supply the agreed vehicle, Ridom refunds the full advance it collected for that booking. The customer is not required to accept another vehicle. Any alternative requires express agreement and does not reduce statutory rights.
Contact Ridom with the booking number. Following verification, refunds are processed through the payment provider, normally to the original payment method, within applicable legal deadlines. Amounts collected directly by the store are addressed separately with that store, without excluding other lawful claims.
These terms do not exclude statutory withdrawal rights where applicable, or rights arising from failure to provide the service or unlawful charges. These rules require final legal review for the relevant service and country before commercial operation.
8. Vehicle pickup and return
Bring the original documents required by the rental store. Ridom does not request customer identity-card or passport uploads. The store performs the checks under applicable law and the disclosed rental conditions.
Observe the agreed times, mileage and usage limits and driving-licence requirements. Damage, security deposits, insurance, fines, fuel and late return are governed by the disclosed store terms and applicable law.
9. Partners and listings
Stores must publish accurate prices, availability, conditions and business details and hold the necessary rights to their content. Misleading listings and undisclosed mandatory charges are not permitted.
Commercial arrangements, commission, inter-business payments and allocation of data protection responsibilities will be specified in a separate partner agreement. These public terms do not replace that agreement.
10. Contact, complaints and amendments
For a booking or Ridom service issue, contact info@rentalnow.gr and quote the booking number. Contact the store as well for incidents involving vehicle use. Do not send card details, passwords or identity-document copies through chat.
New terms carry a date and version. A booking retains the terms accepted when submitted; later amendments do not replace those terms retrospectively.
Greek law applies only insofar as it does not deprive consumers of mandatory legal protection they are entitled to. No exclusive jurisdiction is imposed that restricts lawful remedies. The Privacy and Cookie Policies explain data processing separately.
